Core garden information is designed to stay on your iPhone instead of being collected for an advertising profile.

Optional private backup

Where available, private iCloud backup is optional and uses the Apple Account and settings on your device.

No advertising tracking

Yard Yield is designed without advertising, third-party analytics or cross-app tracking.

Effective 30 August 2026. Applies to the Yard Yield iOS and Android apps and this website. Yard Yield does not require an account and the developer does not collect garden data from the app.

Information stored on your device

Your garden profile, postcode or suburb choice, growing spaces, crops, planted dates, completed tasks, journal entries, harvests, selected photographs and settings are stored in Yard Yield's app container on your device. Your platform provider (Apple or Google) may include this local app data in its own encrypted device backup when you use that service. Crop guides, climate calendars, locality lookup data and bundled images ship inside the app.

Photographs

Yard Yield accesses only the photographs you choose through the system photo picker. Selected photographs become part of your local garden records. The app does not scan your photo library.

Optional private iCloud backup (iOS)

If you enable iCloud backup, Yard Yield copies your garden data and selected photographs to the private CloudKit database associated with your signed-in Apple Account. Yard Yield has no separate cloud account or developer-operated server. Your local garden remains available offline.

Purchases and subscriptions

Apple or Google processes purchases and determines prices, introductory-offer eligibility and subscription entitlements. Yard Yield reads verified store product and transaction status to unlock Yard Yield Complete. The app does not receive your payment-card or banking details.

No advertising, analytics or tracking

No advertising or advertising identifier.
No third-party analytics or developer-operated telemetry.
No cross-app or cross-website tracking.
No precise-location, contacts, health or account-login access.

Exporting and deleting your data

Open More → Data & privacy in Yard Yield to export your garden data as JSON through the system share sheet. The same screen deletes all Yard Yield data. If private iCloud backup is enabled, deletion also attempts to remove the private iCloud copy.

Children's privacy

Yard Yield is a general gardening app and does not knowingly collect personal information from children or other users.

This website

homeharvest.farm is a static site served by Cloudflare. It sets no cookies of its own and runs no analytics scripts. Cloudflare may process connection logs to deliver and secure the site under its own privacy policy.

Changes to this policy

If Yard Yield's data practices change, this policy and the store privacy declarations will be updated before the changed version is released.
