# How Home Harvest works

1. **Set location** — enter an Australian postcode or suburb; mapped to a [climate zone](climate-zones.md). No GPS.
2. **Describe spaces** — balcony pots, raised beds, in-ground beds, greenhouse, with sunlight for each.
3. **Open Plant Now** — best now / good now / avoid now for the current month and zone; filter by container, raised bed, sunlight, experience, goal.
4. **Add crops to a space** — planted date and timeline recorded; Garden Missions add companion crops together.
5. **Journal, harvest, archive** — notes, photographs, harvest records; archiving a season is non-destructive.
